Resurrectional Troparion of the Tone.
Glory.
Kontakion, Tone 6.
O Guide to wisdom and Giver of understanding, Instructor of the foolish and Champion of the poor: Make firm mine heart and grant it understanding, O Master. Give me words, O Thou Who art the Word only-begotten of the Father. For behold, I shall not stop my lips from crying out to Thee: O Merciful One, have mercy on me who am fallen.
Now and ever.

The Lesson of the Epistle of the Holy Apostle Paul to the Romans.
Romans §112 (13:11b-14:4).
Brethren: Now is the hour for us to rise from sleep. For now our salvation is nearer than when we believed. The night is passed, and the day is at hand. Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day: not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and impurities, not in contention and envy: but put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh in its concupiscences. Now him that is weak in faith, take unto you: not in disputes about thoughts. For one believeth that he may eat all things: but he that is weak, let him eat herbs. Let not him that eateth, despise him that eateth not: and he that eateth not, let him not judge him that eateth. For God hath taken him to Him. Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? To his own lord he standeth or falleth. And he shall stand: for God is able to make him stand.
Alleluia of the Tone.
The Lesson of the Holy Gospel according to Saint Matthew.
Saint Matthew §17 (6:14-21).
The Lord said: If you will forgive men their offences, your heavenly Father will forgive you also your offences. But if you will not forgive men, neither will your Father forgive you your offences. And when you fast, be not as the hypocrites, sad. For they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Amen I say to you, they have received their reward. But thou, when thou fastest anoint thy head, and wash thy face; that thou appear not to men to fast, but to thy Father Who is in secret: and thy Father Who seeth in secret, will repay thee. Lay not up to yourselves treasures on earth: where the rust, and moth consume, and where thieves break through and steal. But lay up to yourselves treasures in heaven: where neither the rust nor moth doth consume, and where thieves do not break through, nor steal. For where thy treasure is, there is thy heart also.
Communion.
Psalm 148:1.
Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise ye Him in the high places. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
