Psalm 50

Have mercy on me, O God, according to thy great mercy.
And according to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my iniquity.
Wash me yet more from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
For I know my iniquity, and my sin is always before me.
To thee only have I sinned, and have done evil before thee: that thou mayst be justified in thy words, and mayst overcome when thou art judged.
For behold I was conceived in iniquities; and in sins did my mother conceive me.
For behold thou hast loved truth: the uncertain and hidden things of thy wisdom thou hast made manifest to me.
Thou shalt sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be cleansed: thou shalt wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow.
To my hearing thou shalt give joy and gladness: and the bones that have been humbled shall rejoice.
Turn away thy face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.
Create a clean heart in me, O God: and renew a right spirit within my bowels.
Cast me not away from thy face; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and strengthen me with a perfect spirit.
I will teach the unjust thy ways: and the wicked shall be converted to thee.
Deliver me from blood, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall extol thy justice.
O Lord, thou wilt open my lips: and my mouth shall declare thy praise.
For if thou hadst desired sacrifice, I would indeed have given it: with burnt offerings thou wilt not be delighted.
A sacrifice to God is an afflicted spirit: a contrite and humbled heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Deal favourably, O Lord, in thy good will with Sion; that the walls of Jerusalem may be built up.
Then shalt thou accept the sacrifice of justice, oblations and whole burnt offerings: then shall they lay calves upon thy altar
.

Pomíluj mja, Bóže, po velíc’ij mílosti tvojéj.

Hóspodi, ustňí moí otvérzeši: i ustá mojá vozv’isťát chvalú tvojú.
Jako ášče by voschoťíl jesí žértvy, dal bych úbo: vsesožžénija ne blahovolíši.
Žértva Bóhu duch sokrušén: sérdce sokrušénno i smirénno Boh ne uničižít.
Ublaží, Hóspodi, blahovolénijem tvoím Sióna: i da sozíždutsja st’íny Jerusalímskija.
Tohdá blahovolíši žértvu právdy, voznošénije i vsesožihájemaja: tohdá vozložát na oltár’ tvoj telcá.

Having made the Sign of the Cross, say the Symbol of Faith.

I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all ages:
Light of Light, true God of true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; by Whom all things were made;
Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven, and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and of the Virgin Mary, and became man;
He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried, and arose on the third day, according to the Scriptures;
And ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of the Father; And He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead; of Whose Kingdom there is no end.
And in the Holy Spirit, the true Lord and Giver of life, Who proceedeth from the Father;
Who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; Who spake by the prophets.
And in One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.
I confess one baptism for the remission of sins.
I wait for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the age to come. Amen.

Have mercy, O Lord, on them that labour and them that serve us, and on them that show mercy and that feed us, and grant them all petitions which are unto salvation, and eternal life. Bow.

Remember, O Lord, our fathers and brethren who have gone before us, and make them to dwell where the light of Thy countenance shineth. Bow.

Remember also, O Lord, our lowliness and poverty; enlighten our minds with the light of understanding of Thine Holy Gospel, and direct us in the way of Thy Commandments: through the prayers of Thy most pure Mother, and of all Thy saints. Amen. Bow.

Nenavídjaščich i obídjaščich nas prostí, Hóspodi Čelov’ikoľúbče. Blahotvorjáščim bláho sotvorí, brátijam i vs’im sródnikom nášim, íže i ujedinívšimsja, dáruj im vsja, jáže ko spaséniju prošénija, i živót v’íčnyj. Poklón.

Pomíluj, Hóspodi, truždájušichsja i služáščich nam, mílujuščich i pitájuščich nas, i dáruj im vsjá, jáže ko spaséniju prošénija, i živót véčnyi. Poklón.

Pomjaní, Hóspodi, préžde otšédšyja otcý i brátiju nášu i vselí ich, iďíže pris’iščájet sv’it licá tvojehó. Poklón.

Pomjaní, Hóspodi, i nášu chúdosť i ubóžestvo i prosv’ití naš um sv’ítom rázuma svjatáho Jevánhelija tvojehó i nastávi nas na stezjú zápov’idej tvoích, molítvami Prečístyja tvojejá Mátere i vs’iech svjatých tvoích, Amíň. Poklón.

At the end of the prayers, take your cross in your hand and, protecting yourself, say:

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, bless, sanctify, and protect me by the power of Thy life-giving Cross.

Hóspodi Isúse Christé, Sýne Bóžii, blahosloví i osvjatí, i sochraní mja síloju Živonósnaho Krestá Tvojehó.

After that, kiss the cross.

Finishing these prayers, make the Departure Bows.

This is how we say the prayers in the evening before sleep. Then, these bedtime prayer: When laying down to sleep, make the Sign of the Cross thrice, saying the Jesus Prayer. And laying in bed, guard yourself with the Sign of the Cross and say the Prayer to the Precious Cross:

Let God arise and let His enemies be scattered, and let them that hate Him flee from before His face. As smoke vanisheth, so let them vanish; as wax melteth before the fire, so let the demons perish at the presence of them that love God, and who sign themselves with the Sign of the Cross, and who say in gladness: Rejoice, O Cross of the Lord, for thou drivest away the demons by the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who was crucified on thee, Who descended into Hades and trampled on the power of the devil, and gave us His precious Cross for the driving away of all enemies. O most precious and life-giving Cross of the Lord, help me together with the most holy Lady Theotokos, and with all of the holy heavenly powers, always, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Da voskrésnet Boh, i razýdutsja vrazí jehó, i da b’ižát ot licá jehó nenavídjaščii jehó. Jáko iščezájet dym, da iščéznut, jáko tájet vosk ot licá ohňá, táko da pohíbnut b’ísi ot licá ľúbjaščich Bóha i známenajuščichsja kréstnym známenijem, i da vozveselímsja rekúšče: rádujsja Kréste Hospódeň, prohonjája b’ísi síloju na teb’í propjátaho Hóspoda nášeho Isúsa Christá, vo ád sošédšaho i poprávšaho sílu dijávoľu, i dávšaho nam Krest Svoj Čestnýi na prohnánije vsjákaho supostáta. O, prečestnýi i životvorjáščij Kréste Hospódeň, pomoháj mi s presvjatóju hospožéju Bohoródiceju i so vs’ími svjatými nebésnymi sílami, vsehdá, i nýňi i prísno, i vó v’iki vi’kóm. Amíň.
