Antiphons as on Pascha.
Entrance Hymn.
In the churches bless ye God the Lord, from the fountains of Israel.

Troparion, Tone 5.
Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life.

Glory. Now and ever.

Kontakion, Tone 8.
Though Thou didst descend into the grave, O Immortal One, yet didst Thou destroy the power of Hades, and didst arise as Victor, O Christ God, announcing joy to the myrrh-bearing women, and giving peace to Thine Apostles, O Thou Who dost grant resurrection to the fallen.

In place of the Trisagion, as on Pascha.
As many have been baptised into Christ…

This is the day which the Lord hath made: let us be glad and rejoice therein.
Verse: Give praise to the Lord, for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever.

The Lesson of the Acts of the Holy Apostles.
Acts §2 (1:12-17, 21-26).
In those days: The apostles returned to Jerusalem from the mount that is called Olivet, which is nigh Jerusalem, within a sabbath day’s journey. And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James of Alpheus, and Simon Zelotes, and Jude the brother of James. All these were persevering with one mind in prayer with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. In those days Peter rising up in the midst of the brethren, said: (now the number of persons together was about an hundred and twenty:) “Men, brethren, the scripture must needs be fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who was the leader of them that apprehended Jesus: who was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry. Wherefore of these men who have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus came in and went out among us, beginning from the baptism of John, until the day wherein He was taken up from us, one of these must be made a witness with us of His resurrection.” And they appointed two, Joseph, called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. And praying, they said: “Thou, Lord, Who knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two Thou hast chosen, to take the place of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas hath by transgression fallen, that he might go to his own place.” And they gave them lots, and the lot fell upon Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

Alleluia, Tone 1. Psalm 88:6, 8.
Alleluia.
Verse 1: The heavens shall confess Thy wonders, O Lord: and Thy truth in the church of the saints. Alleluia.
Verse 2: God is glorified in the assembly of the saints: great and terrible above all them that are about Him. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

The Lesson of the Holy Gospel according to Saint John.
Saint John §2 (1:18-28).
No man hath seen God at any time: the only begotten Son Who is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him. And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent from Jerusalem priests and Levites to him, to ask him: Who art thou? And he confessed, and did not deny: and he confessed: I am not the Christ. And they asked him: What then? Art thou Elias? And he said: I am not. Art thou the prophet? And he answered: No. They said therefore unto him: Who art thou, that we may give an answer to them that sent us? What sayest thou of thyself? He said: I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Isaias. And they that were sent, were of the Pharisees. And they asked him, and said to him: Why then dost thou baptize, if thou be not Christ, nor Elias, nor the prophet? John answered them, saying: I baptize with water; but there hath stood one in the midst of you, Whom you know not. The same is He that shall come after me, Who is preferred before me: the latchet of Whose shoe I am not worthy to loose. These things were done in Bethania, beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.

Zadostoinik.
Especially for our most holy, most pure, and most blessed Lady, the Mother of God and Ever-virgin Mary.
The angel cried unto her that is full of grace: Rejoice, O pure Virgin! And again I say, rejoice! For thy Son is risen from the grave on the third day, and hath raised the dead, O ye people, be joyful!
Shine, shine, New Jerusalem, for the glory of the Lord hath shown upon thee. Exult now, and make glad, O Sion; and thou, pure Mother of God, rejoice in the rising of thy Child.

Communion.
Receive the body of Christ, taste the font of immortality. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
